We spent a lot of time looking at various websites and stores for a REAL birthstone necklace to give as a Christmas gift to our daughter. We did have a price limit. After much searching, we found that this necklace was the best for the dollars spent. When it arrived, we looked at it through a loop and we were pleasingly surprised by its quality and presentation.
The real review though was by our daughter. With her big smile, she put it on immediately.
If there were any criticism it would be in the necklace chain. I am not a jewelry person, but I would like to see a little thicker chain. The original seems a bit fragile to me. Perhaps that's just the way necklaces are. But we were buying the stone with its clarity and the way the pendant looked. And we were not disappointed.

...it's a pity it's for a guy. I bought one as a X-mas gift for this kid I work with for a job well done. It was on sale for just (didn't expect that since it was already marked down to 9, they had an added % discount for the holidays) plus free shipping, a real bargain. For that kind of price, I expected it to be of good quality. I didn't expect to like it myself, geez I'm too old for this kind of accessories & I'm female to boot. It is as you see in the pic, but just wait 'til you wear it. It made me wish they have something similar for the ladies. Other people who bought it complained about the chain/cord it came with, it is some sort of silk. I would have prefered suede but I wonder which one is stronger? And leather might be strong but would be too stiff. Surely the manufacturer had a reason for using silk-like material for its chain? I mean cost-wise it's already on the expensive side a dollar or two more for the cord will not matter. Anyway, it still look great & really pretty to look at when worn. And the person I gave it to love it to death, I hope. I mean he's wearing it all the time, so he must like it.
